WGN, this woman’s employer, is now reporting she was not charged with any crimes and was released.

DHS said earlier she was arrested for assault for throwing objects at agents.

Not the first to say this, but given how ICE seems willing to hire any white guy with a mean streak, it feels like a safe wager that some of these guys aren’t allowed to be near public schools.

I could've gone long - I spent years on the front lines of tech, now I'm an investor/consultant in the tech space. I'm in the 99th percentile of understanding this stuff.

But I'm not going to do an amount of work I would typically charge at least $5k for until I know it's not going to be in vain.

Pan-seared chicken thighs in the rice cooker is a cheap, easy, and fun canvas for experimenting with flavour combos.

San Marzanos, shallots, and a ton of St Hubert chicken spice over carnaroli rice made a super creamy risotto.

It’s two or three tweaks away from being a damn good jambalaya.

I was in a situation like this once. It's called a "hit and run" and from what I understand, the cops, the MTO (our DMV), and the insurance companies tend to come down on you pretty hard for it.

I suppose kidnapping's bad too, but I don't have first-hand experience with one of those.

I'm at the scene where ICE abducted multiple people from Lincoln and Foster this morning.

A WGN producer was among the people taken, allegedly because she was among a group of bystanders who tried to intervene. ICE agents hit this car while making their getaway.

I'm trying to respond to the AI leadership survey linked here: Help define the next chapter of Canada's AI leadership

When I click on the survey link it's taking me to a 404 page.

Can you provide an accurate link where I can submit my feedback? I've got years of experience working with Canadian tech companies, I'm the proud son of a retired Director-General who understands public sector procurement, and I have very serious concerns about the public statements I've seen from government officials on the subject.

I'm not a luddite when it comes to this stuff, there are some great things that can be done with AI tools to improve the lives of Canadians, but everything I'm seeing suggests a) Minister Solomon lacks the technical understanding to identify the opportunities, and b) he's going to get hoodwinked by American tech oligarchs who are happy to flatter him and play on his ignorance.

Getting this wrong is a threat to the mental health of Canadians, including millions of Canadian children, and a financial threat to the Canadian government if we spend billions now on technology that far outstrips our current needs only to become outdated in a couple years. I fear that's the course we're on.

I beg of you: let me know where I can express my concerns so that they might be heard. If I need to travel to Ottawa to testify in person, duty to our country compels me to do so at my own expense.
