I saw a TikTok video that framed that before-bed time as the only time you're awake and people don't need anything from you. 🥺 Didn't realize how much I'm struggling until I heard that.

I wish I remembered where I saw this clip, but a woman said this:

“Men don’t get to experience men the same way women do.”

For that reason alone, you can’t invalidate a woman’s experience with a man because you and her have experienced two different people.
I am just learning about this. But yes! This is very it. It's because we are REALLY bad at coaching. And we forget that managers and leaders need coaching, too. Just because you were good at one job doesn't mean you'll automatically be good at the next rung up.
That may be being generous, though. Because in the article Demystifying the Development of an Org Vision, Lipton shared that while 98% of leaders know vision + a plan to implement it are the most important leadership traits, more than 90% of managers lack confidence in their own skills/ability.
Correction: It's a book. The Four Frames x Bolman & Deal, 2021.

And the number is actually 50-80%.
One of the articles I read for my Leadership class. Lemme see if I can find the name.

Everyday I experience concrete reasons why machines will never fully replace humans. Too bad these corporations are banking everything on this.

The amount of effort required to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude larger than producing it, which is why we're all drowning. This is called the Bullshit Asymmetry Principle and it explains the entire internet
Mostly agree. But if I do nothing else in this world, I will remind y'all that 70% of leaders are not qualified for the jobs they have. AI is bad compared to COMPETENT humans. Unfortunately, that's not what we're working with.
Hot take: Technology has mostly ruined the process of getting a job and hiring people for a job.

Gotta be *very* economical about the things you give a fuck about.
I'd reverse the last two. Skills, then vibe check. And the last would be the panel with at least some of the people you'd actually work with. But same general concept. 3 at absolute max, and say that up front.

3 is very generous, depending on the position. My brother had 3 interviewed for GameStop. Please bffr.

My biggest question is what is the goal of each round? What does each tell you that the others couldn't? If you can't answer that....
More than 3 rounds of interviews for a position reflects the incompetence of a company's talent acquisition team.

I spend a lot of time working. I demand that I get paid AND it be a pleasurable experience for me in some aspect that has nothing to do with driving value for the employer. I demand the full value of working with other human beings and to be treated as such.
I'm realizing that believing that reading is fundamental is becoming a toxic trait.

I'm trying to get the memory out of my mind. And can't. I literally keep hearing it (from myself).
He'll be alright. We got blankets all over the house and an Ugg comforter. 😅 Sometimes, I knock it down to 63° just to keep things interesting.
