Also, the adult children of emotionally immature parents is a good read.
There’s a book titled “Mothers Who Can't Love: A Therapist's Guide to Healing from the Emotional Damage of Unloving Mothers,” I recommend this book and years of therapy for women who struggled with mothers who were unloving! Helped me tremendously.

People get drawn in. Maybe by the allure, the warmth, the beauty, or something they can’t place. Can’t say for sure. But then something hits em. The gap between what they know I deserve & what they can offer.
