What I love about this is that he says it's anathema. One of the performers is Anna Thematic. Lots of people don't get the joke. This guy would, and he totally missed his chance to use it to make his point.

I don't know where you live or what you drive, but in HRM, buses will get stuck in 6 inches of snow, and cars will be skidding all over the place.
I drive an AWD, so I'm good in almost anything.
Anyway, there are year-round cyclists here, so they find a way to make it feasible.

I wouldn't go with the tape. You can't take it up to clean it.
I have a silicone mat with suction cups.
Ideally, it would get flipped over to dry after every shower, but it doesn't.
I clean it when I clean the tub, and if it needs more, I let it soak in a mild bleach solution overnight.

I would love to see more people taking transit.
My ideal world would have an efficient transit system at low or no cost to users.

Not defending the people who are hassling @hannahr.bsky.social, just commenting on the climate comment.
We get full-on winter here. Cold, snow, ice, etc. There are people who bike year round.
All it takes is plowed roads, warm clothing, and the right attitude.
(I'm not one of them, but they exist)

Mine are much easier. Sometimes there's money left at the end of the month and sometimes there's month left at the end of the money, but I don't have to explain it to a board of directors, I just have to make sure nothing bounces.
