OH and bonus if the change from drugged to automatic belief is slow and fuzzy and strange, and they can’t tell if it’s even the drugs anymore, or if there‘s a meaningful difference between that and instinctual compliance, they’re just so used to it that it all seems natural

the real good shit is when that’s just the starting point, and eventually they just believe what they’re told automatically, no drugging required anymore

the awesome thing about your blorbo being an OC is that you can NEVER write her out-of character. you can just change her character a bit to match any awkward parts and half the fun is sticking to her established character anyways

funniest part of how i write is that i often struggle with prose in the chronologically next scene but sometimes i will be struck with perfectly worded divine inspiration for something like 5 chapters in the future
