I don’t think art should ever be subtle in any way. ambiguity is laziness. just say exactly what you mean, don’t hide behind symbolism or double meanings. if someone “misunderstands” your work then it’s a failure on your part. why weren’t you clearer?? what kind of monster are you??

i don’t think art should ever have a clear message. it should all be difficult to understand & morally ambiguous to such a degree that you can never scrub the filth away. it should be self-sufficient & ever-changing so as to never align with popular consensus. art should beat the shit out of you

I miss that old google ai thing that would turn everything in a photo into dog faces. & there was a video of a frog hopping around that had that applied to every frame & it looked absolutely sick. that was the peak of that technology.
