As a person that always voted for the moderate democrat, those days are over. I voted for moderate because I hoped for broader appeal. After Felon47 I will support the far left candidate. My money my time. I want the far right to suffer with free healthcare and jobs.

They have to have a backup plan to the "dangerous immigrants" narrative. They have one. They've literally created a "terrorist group" out of thin air. I mean, you can't be having free and fair elections with "enemies from within," like the "Antifa Terrorist" group running around. It's a pretext.

It'd also impede the freedom of movement needed to flee in the event of an AfD takeover. Regardless, some sort of effort to shed American-ness would be worthwhile. I'm not the only one running & efforts to thin the ranks of what doubtless are seen as too many arrivals from the USA are guaranteed.

A potential advantage of citizenship stripping is that statelessness could insure against repatriation to the USA. At the same time this has obvious enough disadvantages that I'd by no means seek it out. I think I'd end up shunted into Germany's asylum system instead of immigration via employment.

Some sort of psychological adjustment is needed to no longer reflexively think of myself as part of an American „we“ & fully internalise my exile status, which could very easily fall into becoming a refugee the legitimacy of whose flight is denied by the whole world.

I do think it would be amazing if hundreds of protesters just showed up dressed like ICE. They’d be absolutely baffled, they’d have no way to tell who’s who. They’re all dressed in off-the-rack Cabelas clothes since they don’t seem to have a standard uniform so it’s easy.

Hence why the DLC is & was so reviled by those who thought the DNC was at least a lesser evil. My recollection of the 90s is that the Mellon & Scaife fortunes were more of the focus of the day & the DLC's Koch links weren't known of until long after the DLC's mission had already been accomplished.

Yes, the limitations you ran into are real. I can't use them for those things either. There are cases where just practising listening & speaking w/o those features is useful, but I had to be at a level for that (only Spanish) & have too many issues w/others I'm at lower levels of (German & Italian).

The promise to Christians that they'll never have to vote again is likely to be the only campaign promise ever honoured. At that point, coalitions won't really matter, but at the same time „authoritarian followers“ will line up behind whoever the designated successor is.
