"I'm here to pick up my dead husband's who died of mysterious circumstances life insurance" OR "Mysteriously wealthy woman due to unknown & vague circumstances if you ask about it" fit

"you should work nine hours a day six days a week making money for somebody else when you are young so you can (maybe) not have to work at all when you are 65" - statements dreamed up by the utterly deranged
We had some shit neighbors that wouldn't fix their cat & dumped the kittens til they got fucking sued by the trailer park & moved for it but the strays that are out are fixed & vaxxed at least even if they can't be fully domesticated which- shame but well- doing your best is what matters sometimes
I don't neighbor watch at all, but I looked out the bathroom window & saw our older neighbor chilling out on his porch with one of the many semi-domestic stray cats he takes care of who is just happily sitting next to him in the sunlight hanging out & it's very sweet
I fear it's a genre that sure isn't hard to make things for but I think the actual interest scope for them is just not very common to younger people for a slew of reasons
I think the issue with that is point & clicks if they're not semi-reliant on calling back to games people younger than 30 won't know is that they kind of live solidly in horror more than any other type of writing genre

I think the last non horror P&C I can think of that's new & out is Loco Motive?

Alright NextFest talk time! Starting with my favorite demo HABROMANIA with it's own post

Alice in Wonderland is my favorite framework to use in horror fairytale settings (American McGee's series & the old flash series Alice is Dead were very important to me) so this was a real treat to explore

This is way less shocking once you know that film studios do this all the time when they need the rights to something.

Have you ever seen the genuinely fantastic Japanese box art for this game? The package designer took a look at this funny skeleton with a guitar and went, "Hey that kinda reminds me of the Grateful Dead" and ran with it
It's floaty & performance I think could use some work when it comes to visual tearing & things but I had a lot more fun with this demo than I assumed I would

I wouldn't be sickos george personally for the schmoovement play but it's a solid demo
I also have to admit too Bubsy 4D has some sauce & really my major issue with it is the camera as of the moment, I'm being so real I hope it inspires a no one expected this self aware Gex revival title that is oddly good in this vein of game

Laugh Track I think is the game here I would like to give a shout out to since I went in with wildly different expectations of what that could of been & while it's a comedy it just has a flavor of seriousness & dismay that's hidden in there that I think will be cool to see when the game releases

Please go check out the Kickstarter! I think this has something special to it that is worth supporting to see this really bloom into a full project

The atmosphere & subtle little things done in this through that make it just unsettling enough where I'm really hoping to see this get made!
HABROMANIA
A dreamy choice-based misadventure game where Alice falls down a rabbit hole and out of her mind.
