"I'm here to pick up my dead husband's who died of mysterious circumstances life insurance" OR "Mysteriously wealthy woman due to unknown & vague circumstances if you ask about it" fit

This is way less shocking once you know that film studios do this all the time when they need the rights to something.

Have you ever seen the genuinely fantastic Japanese box art for this game? The package designer took a look at this funny skeleton with a guitar and went, "Hey that kinda reminds me of the Grateful Dead" and ran with it
It's floaty & performance I think could use some work when it comes to visual tearing & things but I had a lot more fun with this demo than I assumed I would

I wouldn't be sickos george personally for the schmoovement play but it's a solid demo
I also have to admit too Bubsy 4D has some sauce & really my major issue with it is the camera as of the moment, I'm being so real I hope it inspires a no one expected this self aware Gex revival title that is oddly good in this vein of game
Finally, a handful of other top picks!

Heaven Does Not Respond & No Players Online - Horror Mystery Computer Detective Games

Jackal - Movement Shooter (Hotline Miami like) Flavor

Mesmalie - Visual Novel about being a Witch (sleeper hit for me! This one is something also very special I feel)
Special Shoutout to a couple games that were not my usual beat & I loved checking out!

Hell Maiden is so snappy, responsive, and has such a cool setting & art style that this is worth checking out

Star Trek Voyager is a management game that deals with the What If side of the series & very fun
Laugh Track I think is the game here I would like to give a shout out to since I went in with wildly different expectations of what that could of been & while it's a comedy it just has a flavor of seriousness & dismay that's hidden in there that I think will be cool to see when the game releases
NextFest Personal Favorites Demos Thread!

Laugh Track - Cosmic Horror Comedy Visual Novel

No More Work for Ito - Horror Visual Novel

The Seance of Blake Manor - Horror Murder Mystery Detective Game

Shadows of the Afterland - Classic Comedy & Dark Humor Point & Click Beat
Please go check out the Kickstarter! I think this has something special to it that is worth supporting to see this really bloom into a full project

The atmosphere & subtle little things done in this through that make it just unsettling enough where I'm really hoping to see this get made!
HABROMANIA
A dreamy choice-based misadventure game where Alice falls down a rabbit hole and out of her mind.

Alright NextFest talk time! Starting with my favorite demo HABROMANIA with it's own post

Alice in Wonderland is my favorite framework to use in horror fairytale settings (American McGee's series & the old flash series Alice is Dead were very important to me) so this was a real treat to explore
Yeah you have your life together at 25 & make more money that I will ever do probably until I die but like- I make the waitress at the restaurant have a nicer day & be visibly comfortable after you leave so idk bro
Met a really full of himself IT Tech guy today & uh-

Gotta say I forgot I value salt of the earth, personable, genuine, straight forward, and less arrogant people to the point I do after I had to be around that guy for like 6 hours
I wanna ride Siren's Curse so bad, closed today after the weather but the queue was cutely themed!

Also the carts themselves light up??? I was bummed I could have got pictures of the carts but I left my phone in the locker augh
Went to Cedar Point today, got rained out BUT because of that they're giving me a free ticket for Halloween weekend so I get two trips out of it now!!!!

Also got to ride Top Thrill 2 front seat baby, that fuckin' headrest needs a damn cusion though but it's alright, very zen imo
NOOOO THEY TURNED ME INTO A MARKETABLE PLUSHIE

Something’s wrong with my dog I think it’s gay #art
Yeah I got you, I'll do a quick file compression and send it right over (but thank you! it was very good, only thing I could have done different was give the steak a lil' more work to be more tender)
I actually am not someone that likes cooking if I'll be real especially cause I eat larger portions & have weird issues about leftover textures so meal planning isn't a thing I have the mental space for but I make a solid meal when I do cook
I never post food pics but while I also never really eat any beef much these days (mostly a chicken person for the price + output) I got some steak & made butter garlic confit for my potatoes & steak with asparagus also covered in balsamic glaze

I fuckin' made a bangin' dinner

+ A lot more!
This hit me like a fucking brick because I'm genderfluid & this was one of the types of characters that made me realize I was not fully a girl or wanted to adhere to traditional womanhood on many levels even if I decided to not transition & that drag was more what I would do ouagh, killing me here

PSA for everyone going to protests
Handwringing everything you hate to justify people on the teams having a worse quality of life is wack, that can't be healthy for anyone like- man if you hate Pokemon like that now then bro find a new source of joy & stop paying for it, people gotta realize they get old & are different
It's wild to me that some people can't realize when something stops being fun or for them on a personal level, after Sw/Sh I realized I just wanted more goth/punk boys like Piers & cared less a lot about the actual games but like- there's PLENTY of other things that filled that gap for me
