It really sucks that snob gatekeepers framed classical as high brow music so now any time you talk about it, people assume you're trying to signal intellect

But the music itself isn't pretentious, thats cultural baggage. I just like it when sounds are arranged in a cool way, like any other genre

I grew up a metalhead and then (via noise and free jazz) got into ambient and experimental music. I've always felt that a circle was closing again. Black metal and doom are the two metal subgenres where pure sound and texture are primary carrying elements just as in ambient.

There are many things I like about Grime Stone Records. I like their silly yet gnarly music. I like their anti-Nazi stance. I like their free hot muscle babes. But they also deserve credit for having the most professional merch operation of any label of any size I've used.
