Yep. Adding to this that governments change, so who gets that data next?Of it’s the party that wants to remove a lot of immigrants (whatever their definition of it is), that suddenly have a lot of information to start with, all nicely prepared for them.

Once the data is in government hands and systems of surveillance are embedded in systems of labor and beyond, your supposed protections are nothing more than flimsy surmountable barriers. One terrorist attack and “emergency powers” are claimed. We just saw it used for protests.

It’s exactly the same thing. Something legal and innocuous is suddenly an existential threat. So your pat dismissal of the very real concerns about authoritarian overreach and ensuring governments don’t get the tools they need to do that is disproven.

I know there's a lot to keep up with but someone has ALREADY been killed by ICE in Chicago, its not a theoretical question, and folks are dying in ICE detention and being disappeared constantly, when you say "someone's gonna get killed" youre actually washing the blood from their hands 😘✌️

Before one is a pensioner one works which means almost everyone will have to be monitored by the government at some point. Your late entry into the scheme at its introduction is not relevant because it only happens once. Everyone thereafter would be affected.
