How do you overcome "host fatigue"?

Been running a furbowl for almost 10 years, and for the last couple years it's been struggling. We have to needle people to sign up for it. If we cancel, they get mad, but then they don't come when we do have it.

I'm tired and hurt, it's become a chore now

Had to cut ties and block so many people I once considered friends because of this...rather than get real help they would use me and disrespected my boundaries frequently. Some days I barely had enough spoons to handle my own self care, let alone theirs, and my mental health suffered because of it

There were a couple, yeah

It's mostly settled down now but after the initial selling out in main there were a few folks being rude and nasty about it in chat and I damn near bit my tongue off wanting to clap back at em to touch grass

People gotta remember it's roughly ~600 rooms for ~6000 people

not just the theft
the job loss
the burning of the earth.

But the people who blindly use/consume it.
