How to force yourself to do your class readings for the next day - make baked goods late at night so you're forced to stay up and you may as well read as it proofs and then bakes.

I don't think this is a universal tip.

Last year I had a student tell me, "You have to be a nerd to like math, but you have to be an extra special kind of nerd to care about the history of it." So I think I'm on the right path??....🤞

Concerned that we are losing the necessary ratio. 15% of teachers/faculty should be irretrievably strange eccentrics. Every learning experience should have some element where in later life you can reflect with former classmates about how bizarre at least one (1) class per year was.
