Classical music competitions need a live scoreboard. Judges can add/take away points as they see fit. The crowd can cheer and boo, too. Excellent recapitulation of the main theme? Crowd goes wild, 10 points. Underwhelming diminuendo? Ooh, Judge 3 hated that, you're down 5 with only 20 measures to go
