how do you find time to write?

my reply:
For me it's not so much a question of time, but of inspiration. Because when I get inspired, I can crank out crazy word counts in a short amount of time. But I also don't have much else in my life that takes up a huge amount of my time outside of work, like kids or other responsibilities or other hobbies aside from an occasional sewing spree. (And this is all by choice, in case that seems sad to someone.) ...Also I suck at adulting, so when inspiration strikes, it kind of overrides other things I probably should be doing, like cleaning or eating or whatever 😅

fiction is a safe space to think of unsafe things

if you feel it's messing you up, step away. don't assume it's messing everyone up and you need to eradicate it because you caught a case of the feel-bads from something. go sit with that and think about why instead of pissing in everyone else's cheerios.
