Odd. Then, I find Japanese mainstream beer not served from a Japanese double tap system rather unpleasant. If it is, it's delicious.

Of course. I wonder who wins the draw to buy him a 747…

"This is such a remarkable book, albeit one that I approached a little warily. ...Craig wisely uses his work and its evolution to tell the human story of one of our greatest creative eccentrics, a true, determined and driven original..." @craigrobertson.bsky.social

Listening to the just released 1972 Lennon/Ono One on One shows. First thoughts are that Elephant's Memory were such a drab barroom band. Why? But Lennon's voice is searing in places. 'Cold Turkey'... open.spotify.com/album/1tXgPc...

There's a biography of Chris Knox out this week - the author Craig Robertson contacted me a few years ago, as back in 1995 when I was at Ak Uni, I made a half hour documentary on Chris and he wanted to see it.
Anyway, I dug out the digital file and it's now online, enjoy! youtu.be/VQjvic02S8M?...

This is real. This... {deep breaths} I cannot even find the right word... actually said this about this year's richly deserving Nobel Peace Prize winner.

He did everything he could to denigrate her win.

One of Dad's shots. The first NAC Viscount arrives at Whenuapai, 1958.

It's two years today since he passed ❤️

Extra points for using "we're stoked". A truly unique enzedism.

So, the Maldives: gorgeous everywhere you look, wonderful people regardless of whether they are service industry or not. But insanely expensive.

A bonus point for not finding the IPAs I smuggled in.

I fear if things don’t change right now, this image is going to come back to haunt us
Laura Rodriguez, on Twitter:

A federal agent points a weapon at a woman who was recording them.

Jess, a U.S. citizen and member of a neighborhood patrol team that documents and shares ICE activity across the city, was filming when the incident occurred earlier today in the Berwyn area.

I said I'd write a few words about Craig Robertson's much-anticipated Chris Knox bio, which I love.

These are personal reflections on what will likely be the definitive history of a man who changed indie/alt music globally

'Cause, when it all comes down to dust
Can I say that Craig Robertson's bio of Chris Knox is anticipated? It is, and it's arrived.

one of my favorite shows was Chris Knox playing with Jeff Mangum at the 40 Watt in 1997. Chris played with a headset mic and must have gotten hot because during midsong banter he nonchalantly took his pants off and played the rest in what looked like gym shorts.

David Herkt says, "Here's a deep-dive into the past of Auckland City....Mojo's nightclub on Queen Street was one of NZ's great transvestite shows in the early 1970s. The links below the story are also revealing, especially the youtube one with interviews."

From the beginning of the 1970s, at 348 Queen Street in Auckland, there was an unmissable sign. It read “Mojo’s Nitespot”. It would eventually become the frontage of New Zealand’s first, largest, and ...

Oh SHIT. Two birds with one stone and neither were for immigration. It was to hassle black folk and make a sizzle real about it and to help Wells Fargo out.

Fucking crazy shit.
