My younger child started offering “a nice [item] in these trying times” when she was like 8 and I to this day do not know if she was somehow watching It’s Always Sunny under the radar or if she picked it up some other way.

OMG it’s so true. One household can barely eat all the lemons/limes/oranges of a single mature tree, let alone grapefruit, the most mood-dependent of the citrus lineup.
