Me too! I LIKE editing something that is draft 3+; it is satisfying to make something pretty good better. I HATE writing 1st or 2nd draft; so painful. I try to overcome this tendency to revise the old instead of write the new by having some rule like write new stuff 1 hour a day.

10.9% couples include at least one sexually diverse partner—twice+ rate seen when only one partner’s identity is counted. Most bi & multi-identity individuals have het partners; g/l & straight adults often partner within their identity. #SOGIData

(I was appropriately scolded for writing my own Wikipedia page many years ago, even though I disclosed the conflict of interest and didn't include any value judgments or adjectives, just listed CV stuff. It's rampant!)

It's good experience. More people should do it (though paying someone to write your own is against the rules). I wrote a few from scratch (Harriet Presser, Sonalde Desai). It's fun. And then you set it free and anyone can edit it.

I just finished a memo to reviewers for an R&R and just realized that it is 19 single-spaced pages long. Now I have to try to get that in half or more. Ugh.

American civil society is full of abject cowards, that is the issue. The government is a mafia state but it is winning because most American elite institutions are devoid of anything resembling integrity and are folding rather than stand on principles that were little more than marketing.

I usually love horror films. They don't scare me, but in light of this new administration, this is the scariest frucking movie I have ever seen.

Our latest in JMF: US unmarried folks vote more for Dems than married since 1980. Biggest reason: higher % of married voters are white. Also, married folks are more religious-->voting against Dems (among whites). OA: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

Just 2 days after the 12th anniversary of Sandy Hook, the US has its 83rd school shooting of the year, surpassing last year's record for the most school shootings.

This breaks my heart. And my heart will keep on breaking b/c the US won't change anything. www.cnn.com/us/live-news...

At the 1992 RNC convention, some delegates held up signs that said “Thank God for AIDS” and “Family Rights Forever/Gay Rights Never.” Not exactly as catchy as “Mass Deportations Now,” but just as dehumanizing.
