Me too! I LIKE editing something that is draft 3+; it is satisfying to make something pretty good better. I HATE writing 1st or 2nd draft; so painful. I try to overcome this tendency to revise the old instead of write the new by having some rule like write new stuff 1 hour a day.

(I was appropriately scolded for writing my own Wikipedia page many years ago, even though I disclosed the conflict of interest and didn't include any value judgments or adjectives, just listed CV stuff. It's rampant!)

It's good experience. More people should do it (though paying someone to write your own is against the rules). I wrote a few from scratch (Harriet Presser, Sonalde Desai). It's fun. And then you set it free and anyone can edit it.
