A house deliberately built *not* to look like a palace.

Now being tarted up with tasteless gold frills, and a huge ballroom added.

One President omitted from the portrait line-up. Joe Biden, replaced by an auto pen machine.

I know. Scissors are sensible cutlery for pizza eating.
I'm pretty sure no-one in Birmingham makes a better pizza than Amore in Moseley. This beauty, with an exemplary base, was topped with pumpkin, n'duja, ricotta, stuffed and fried courgette flowers and chilli.
A perfect way to start the day - a muffin with egg, bacon, sausage, American cheese, hash browns and an apple and fennel salad at the wonderful Den in Stirchley.
Beets and roses: roasted beetroot, rosehip syrup, pickled blackberries, whipped ricotta and walnuts.
This colder weather calls for hearty food. Step forward these loukaniko sausages at the fabulous Greek Aura in Moseley.
They've got a great texture.
Recipe in the Guardian. It's a lovely dish.
Chickpea, parsnip and apple albondigas in a saffron and tomato broth. A wonderful recipe from Jose Pizzaro.
Any sign of a corrupt racist guy called Jenrick spreading lies?
I'm sure you'll enjoy. Great food, lovely service and a relaxed vibe.
The tiny Perro in Kings Heath is serving some of the most exciting food in Birmingham right now - dishes that are complex, layered and oh so good to eat. It's a wee gem.
Plump, punchy anchovies served with salmorejo and exquisite olive oil at the wonderful Uno Mas in Aungier Street, Dublin.
The fabulous Swan in Aungier Street, Dublin.
Daphne Wright's stunning and disturbing statue of a stallion at IMMA, Dublin.
Food bursting with well judged flavour at Note in Dublin - cockles with girolles and coco beans, monkfish with rainbow chard and a buttery tomato sauce and oregano, then damson frangipane tart with bay leaf custard. A great place.
Following in the footprints of those other great writers Yeats, Joyce and Beckett by taking tea at Bewley's in Grafton Street, Dublin.
A stupendous smoked pork chop with parsley sauce, cabbage, carrots and mashed potatoes at L Mulligan Grocer, a Dublin pub that champions Irish produce. Great drinks and wonderful service, too.
Inevitable on a trip to Dublin.
