Change, my dear. And it seems not a moment too soon...

We asked Which Doctor you lot wanted to see Terry dress up as and we got so many replies, we decided to make them *all*.

Starting today with Classic Who.

(Next week, New Who).

What an absolute treasure Diane Keaton was. Her wit never tired, nor did her style.

Black cats are the best cats.

I'd never heard of this either, btw. It's all new to me.

Yeah, the synth-phonic intro is great, it promises so much...

Directed and co-written by Carl Gottlieb too.

I haven't got to that bit yet, but the author does pay commendable attention to Ringo's very weird film career.

A Japanese clothing company advert from 1976 featuring a jingle sung by Ringo, Harry Nilsson and Davy Jones. Nilsson presumably wrote it too? This book has opened up *such* a rabbit hole.

Another strange Ringo footnote: in 1975 he launched his own label, Ring O'Records; its first release was an entirely instrumental, synth-based reworking of his 1973 Ringo LP by recording engineer David Hentschel, which also featured Phil Collins on drums. It flopped.

I think we can safely say that @wednesdaygj.bsky.social has surpassed herself here. Quite extraordinary.

Terry doesn’t have an upper lip. So, when @crgn.bsky.social requested Salvador Dali for #PlasticeneHalloween, we knew we couldn’t just slap a moustache on Terry and call it a costume.

Instead, we created:

The Persistence of Terry

Au contraire, it was a bonus.

This is what we did on my birthday.

Would you be disappointed or relieved if this happened to YOU?

Many thanks to @robinparker.bsky.social for this terrifying #PlasticeneHallowe’en suggestion!

Calling all #DoctorWho fans! Which Doctor should we dress Terry up as for Hallowe’en?

NB: We’re implementing a strict ‘no woolly scarves’ policy as Tom Baker - who we love, of course - is a bit too obvious. But please feel free to choose any other incarnation!

Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again

I haven't got to that bit yet, but I'm sure it won't disappoint.

It's what he would've wanted.

The Ringo book is packed with astonishing facts.

As Eddie points out in his review of the Ringo-starring comedy Caveman, an introductory gag caption states that it takes place on 9th October. Which is today, but also John Lennon's birthday. Lennon was murdered four months before the film's release, so perhaps it's intended as a tribute of sorts.

We're waist-deep in Ringo's film career now. That'll Be the Day aside, it's such an utterly bizarre filmography. I know @film-authority.bsky.social has thoughts...

The moment he goes to open the box you can almost see him hesitate and go: "Shit, is my stash in that one?"

I love the bit where he admits that the Rolls Royce grills he used for his coffee table design were procured via dodgy means. Noakes quickly moves on.

That time in 1971 when Ringo went on Blue Peter to show off his futuristic furniture designs (the luxury interior design company he co-founded was actually very successful).
