Hamas: still exists
Hostages: fewer than half are alive

And yet, for Netanyahu, all of this horror and destruction is mission accomplished.

Listen to the response to this and look how easy it is to say it.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

“This “victory” is actually a defeat — a necessary and blessed defeat — of this government’s messianic vision. In fact, the agreement directly contradicts what the government has sold Israelis for two years: the promise of total victory and the destruction of Hamas.”

Which says “America First?”

$20 billion to bailout a reckless Libertarian leader from decimating his country’s economy solely because he flattered Elon and Trump,

or $20 billion to practically solve homelessness via a housing-first model?
FAQ: Why America just bailed out Argentina with a $20 billion lifeline | CNN Business
The Trump administration is bailing out Argentina in a move critics are saying has more to do with politics than economics or American interests.

Side note: so many docs kill their families in their own private planes. Being good at one thing doesn’t mean you’ll be good at an entirely different thing

TIL that ATLS (Advances Trauma Life Support) was pioneered by an ortho surgeon who crashed his own prop plane filled with wife (killed) and kids (survived). He was shocked at the lack of standardized care available to Americans in emergency departments.

Maiava has been pressured under five times. He excelled at accurately getting the ball out quickly and accurately against zone, and pushed the ball accurately against man. Wink has no answers, but their offensive skill >>>> our defensive skill

Is anyone else’s NBC feed a mess? Peacock is bad too. I’m on a wired connection with over 100 Mbps

Check on your Michiganders today. None of them are having a good weekend. A loss to the Chiefs tomorrow in prime time might be the final straw for the state.

Watching Michigan-USC on YouTube TV NBC feed has the resolution of a 320x320 mpeg copy of “Spirit of Christmas” that has been blown up to fill the screen

Simply saying, “I’m right and they’re incorrect,” when the “they” in question is thousands of researchers who submitted their data for peer-review, is crazy. The majority of these researchers did work to refute or validate the existing belief system through validated and reviewed methods.

There’s lots to dislike about medical education (eg too many undergrad weed-out pre recs), but the coolest thing about it is teaching the through-line of “how we got here.” Understanding how we got from Jenner to Salk to mRNA vaccines is crucial. This is why the contrarian “Nuh-uh” is so infuriating

Arthrex on Game Day, lol

Johnny Mateer is not healed at 17 days. Not saying it will fail, but the biology there is not stable enough at this point. Metal is there to compress and allow for faster, more predictable healing; it doesn’t replace healing.

Hope he is getting good advice.

The ER only hospital, where getting dispo’d “upstairs” means something totally different

What so many non-medical people have memory-holed about peak-covid is that beyond-capacity ICUs/ERs brought the entire system to a halt. Inelasticity in high-acuity settings is always a crisis for hospitals, where almost every specialty relies on acute care services. Get vaccinated, people.

Leaving Paris today. The Sargent special exhibit in the D’Orsay and the Weil special exhibit in the Orangerie are great.

We all know someone who claimed to be gluten intolerant but would be absolutely fine housing a bowl of pasta without repercussions. Just because a person claimed to be something they weren’t doesn’t mean that the thing doesn’t exist.

Transphobes believe that the very rare exceptions prove the rule.

“I’m strong and I want to have like fifty kids and a farm” of course you do. You’re twelve. “I don’t want to eat vegetables I think steak and French fries is the only meal” hell yeah homie you’re twelve. “Maybe if there’s crime we should just send the army” bless your heart my twelve year old buddy
