Because there are so many badly made wings out there (outside of Buffalo) that anyone could be forgiven for thinking they are hard to make. They are not!

Frank’s is about flavor, not heat. If you want the wings actually hot you can add cayenne, another hotter sauce etc.

They’re super easy and yet places outside of Buffalo almost always mess them up. I try ordering them now and then and always regret it. They’re just a treat I can only get when I visit my parents unless I make them myself.

Yeah, this may not be a popular opinion (or maybe it is?) but his response is way more damning to me than the tattoo itself. I can forgive a *lot* of dumb and offensive shit from people who demonstrate actual growth but this? This is…not that. In an extremely worrying way.

Platner taking his campaign in a “they’re trying to get me” direction after the tattoo is a flashing, Fetterman-shaped warning light for what he could be like if elected, and I think it’s enlightening to see who can see that and who can’t because he’s “upsetting the right people”.

Coconut milk and def coconut cream feel creamy to me but certainly not interchangeable with dairy cream. I have used coconut cream to make non-dairy ganache and other similar things. It works but you have to embrace it as its own thing too. The difference comes out even more in savory dishes to me.

Yeah, bitterness is a concept that sort of fascinates me because people always seem to be attributing it to all kinds of things that I’d never think to describe that way. It seems to mean different things to different people. Do you experience coconut milk as bitter?

Thai cuisine has plenty of coconut milk so I guess it depends on if “creamy” means “literally containing cream” or, like, “fatty and viscous?” But yeah, if the former, very large parts of the world go without and don’t miss it!

Sometimes. But part of the appeal of Chinese restaurants to kosher or kosher-ish families was also that they offered these things in concealed/culturally unfamiliar forms that you they could just…be willfully ignorant about lol. Don’t ask, don’t tell.

Why would they? This seems to be their choice. Our doc told us she has never given a COVID shot to a child and does not recommend them. Because they were “not studied enough and approved too quickly.”

She’s by the book about the entire rest of the vaccine schedule so she’s not a total MAHA loon—I think we’d have picked up on that earlier if she were. But yeah, not a nice surprise. We’re trying to get into a new practice ASAP now. Ugh.
