Some moves in sports are done out of respect more than organizational purposes. I think it would be unfair to Orion, and to the city, for him to stay here.

I think they'll keep Orion. He's a kid and he made a mistake. He did well in late innings. I'd keep Thompson too. He's had multiple winning seasons. I'd let Schwarber go. I'd trade Bohm and put Otto at 3rd. I'd keep Stott too. Not Marsh, not Kepler, Realmuto one more year. I'd keep Bader.

Could easily find 7-8 worse losses than this just since 2022 for the Phillies, but this is by far the dumbest. For a collection of guys who have no rational thoughts during 95% of games, this was the perfect way for it to end.

Maybe Gannon is viewed differently if he spends SB57 preparing a defense instead of tanking it so badly the Eagles rushed Fangio in to salvage what they could. I don’t know, I didn’t get caught red-handed by the NFL so badly that the punishment came in a league-forced draft day trade.
