This stone is actually at the FDR Memorial. Even so, I hope the next lawfully elected president, should we ever have another, pursuant to and in accordance with a statute duly enacted by a functioning Congress, should we ever have another, will have it permanently displayed in the Oval Office.
MAGA's dire warnings about "Democratic Socialism" seem confusing, when they spend taxpayer $$ on chunks of private companies:

6. But Argentina is using this money to prop up the value of the pesos at an artificially high level. That means there will NEVER be enough dollars to satisfy demand. As long as the government is willing to pay more for the peso than its worth, people will keep wanting to sell them for dollars.
AI execs MUST keep the bubble inflating. If the music (cash) stops... they go bust with a "status quo".
This affects CEO-speak in a big way.
Maybe the most disturbing about this...
He has no idea what "fiber optics" are!
Trump: "Buttigieg spent billions fixing the air traffic control. They used copper wire going into glass wire. Any union electrician here or any non-union electrician would say you can't hook copper into glass. It doesn't work. They spent billions, turned on the system & it was stone cold blank"
When the Chief Executive can order the Treasury Department to cut him a personal check...
We have officially crossed over to an entirely different form of government!
Breaking News: President Trump wants $230 million from the Justice Department for investigating him, people familiar with the matter say. Any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior department officials who defended him or those in his orbit. nyti.ms/4hmIi5X

"Whatever lies behind Trump’s cupidity towards Putin, we should be long past caring why. The reality is settled fact. Putin has fewer cards in his hand than Trump supposes. One of those cards is Trump." My column. www.ft.com/content/7deb...

Someone, please explain how tariff-leverage has solved a war between 2 parties we have essentially no trade with?
That's the "fun" of off/on/undefined/irrational tariffs! (on coffee & bananas, to protect US "production"?) No rules, no predictability!
Terrifying economics experiment... but data harvesting 2025-27 may teach things 'bout micro & macro economics effects
DC No Kings note:
It is unlikely that we will ever have accurate crowd estimates. Unlike other US cities, the government prevented any "overhead shots" in DC.
However, there were observers with camera equipment & at least one sniper rifle on the roof of the National Gallery's East Bldg

Quote from a British AEI (Kratos) field engineer back in the 70s, "It's finger-tight when your fingers don't slip on the pliers"
Blue-green algae emit over 70 highly toxic microcystin compounds - broad spectrum chemical warfare against all competitors - both plant & animal. A single exposure to ppb concentrations was fatal to dogs. Difficult to reliably remove from drinking water supplies.
The Trump administration’s slashing of budgets and staff have Great Lakes scientists concerned that they have lost the ability to protect the public from toxic algal blooms, which can kill animals and sicken people.
