BREAKING: We won our lawsuit against the Trump Administration to force them to use the available funds at their disposal to continue SNAP benefits.
Let's keep the 🙌 heat on DC so we can keep the 🔥 heat on in our homes! Join us at City Hall on Monday at 10am or watch online as we fight for LIHEAP funding & call for No Shutoffs During the Shutdown.

The health & safety of working Philadelphians, children & folks on a fixed income is a vital concern as they lose this benefit thru no fault of their own. We urge consideration for our vulnerable Philadelphians in this time of crisis.

Today, our delegation sent a letter to Philadelphia-area utility providers and to the PUC encouraging them to pause service shutoffs for non-payment until LIHEAP reopens.

Our work is not done! Thanks to our Chairwoman @repcephas.com for rallying outside of Suburban Station for funding to stabilize SEPTA, ensure riders & workers are safe, and keep our region moving.
Transit is personal. It's personal to me, it's personal to my colleagues, it's personal to Pennsylvanians. It's about mobility; it's about opportunity. The fight is not over for SEPTA—we must find a stable, recurring funding mechanism to #SaveMassTransit for ALL Pennsylvanians.
The suspension of WOAR services is devastating. This #PaBudget impasse that continues due to the indifference of the #PaSenate toward our city is unacceptable & we call on them to get serious about real solutions to improve the quality of life in Philly & across PA.

We stood in the shadow of the Sports Complex to highlight the specific need for @septaphilly.bsky.social beyond the daily commute, for the major events happening in South Philly & across the city. Public transit needs to be funded as the priority public service that it is.

Tonight our @philadelphiaeagles.bsky.social lift another Championship Banner to the rafters of the Linc. Our Delegation stands behind our Birds as they begin their title defense! To the faithful in South Philly tonight, be safe, be patient, have fun, #BeatDallas and #GoBirds🦅💚 #FlyEaglesFly
Take some time to let Senate Republicans know how this crisis is going to affect your commute, your family, and your community. You deserve a serious solution for a sustainable future for @septaphilly.bsky.social and that's what we're fighting for.
The cost of Senate GOP inaction is now a real problem for real people. Service cuts on nearly every SEPTA route begin on Sunday. Check the Rider Guide below & SEPTA.org to verify your new schedule.

Keeping everyone involved in today's @pastatepolice.bsky.social incident in Susquehanna County in our thoughts this evening.
The #PaHouse Transportation Cmte. did their work by approving transit funding by a bipartisan vote & incorporating Senate GOP priorities - we hope to move this bill out of the House soon and the #PaSenate follows with a quick approval before SEPTA's Aug. 14 deadline to avoid drastic service cuts.

I've included Senate GOP oversight language in my bill that would also provide the necessary funding for SEPTA, and it was approved in the #PAHouse Transportation Committee today. Now the Senate is out of time and out of excuses. Let's get this done. #FUNDSEPTANOW.

The Governor gets it. @pahousedems.com get it. Where is the Senate GOP? Call Sen. Picozzi at 215•281•2539 - tell him to do his job and #FundSEPTA now.
“Our systems are meeting the moment and addressing every single concern that Republicans are bringing up. The one thing that I need them to shift on is actually funding the actual system like it should be funded,” @repcephas.com said.

As legislators continue to negotiate how SEPTA fits into Pa.'s next budget, Philly’s lone GOP state senator and two of his suburban colleagues introduced a package of bills to improve the transit agency’s accountability to the state.

The package does not include any additional funding stream.
A plan to help SEPTA emerges from the GOP state Senate, with no funding attached
Philly's lone GOP state senator, Sen. Joe Picozzi, and two of his suburban colleagues introduced a package of bills to improve SEPTA's accountability to the state as talks continue on how to fund it.

SEPTA funding is waiting for the Green Light from the #PASenate to move forward our work on the #PABudget. “The budget” is a package of many parts that address the needs in PA for the year. We’re focused on finding agreement to benefit all of PA before inaction affects your daily activity & wallet.
Please be aware of the 911 outage happening across the state. If you have a true life-threatening emergency in your area, please call your local Philadelphia Police district line listed on the graphic and be patient while the state works to restore 911 service for all. #BeSafe
Every student deserves a quality education and a safe place to learn. We stand with @pftlocal3.bsky.social and The School District of Philadelphia to say we must fund our schools fully, fairly, and equitably because that's what our PA Constitution demands.

The PA House just passed no tax on overtime and no tax on tips!

This bill also stands up for small community businesses to help them compete against big corporations.

This is a huge step toward fairness and economic opportunity for ALL Pennsylvanians.
