I have written and deleted a lot of posts but I keep thinking about how the brutal assassination of Minnesota State senator Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and their beloved dog Gilbert in June did not prompt this same level of calls for empathy, sympathy, and flags at half-mast.
Rhetoric isn't the same thing as opinions and we should be allowed to freely express our opinions about anything we want.

Opinions don't hurt anyone, only the actions of a few individuals that hurt people and those individuals would have snapped in some capacity or another regardless of "Rhetoric"

#help does anyone #disabledaf like me know any resources for #raredisease assistance or grants for relocation or treatment or travel etc. I am in a bad situation with no resources and my treatment options are not good where I live.

I am desperately seeking resources
No longer allowed food. Now on a full liquid diet. Love having more and more of my life restricted and taken from me.

Welp, I don't think I'm the only #ActuallyAutistic who hard relates with this...
Welp. I’m in this picture and I don’t like it.
I am terrified I am going to die while I sit around trying to fight to figure out how to live. I am on waiting lists with geneticist etc.

I get iv fluids. I see a nutritionist. I am still dying from this stuff. Everything i do is just a bandaid on a stabwound. I need real treatment. Surgery. Help.
To further complicate it, I was disowned by my family for being liberal & lgbtq and I have noone to rely on for help. Its just me and my husband. My son is autistic and on ssi so he can't assist me. I am truly without resources yet my community is deadly to me.

What do I do?
Idk what we are going to do. We live paycheck to paycheck and I have rarer severe complications of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome such as heart failure, aortic aneurysm and superior mesenteric artery syndrome. I am VERY sick. I also live hundreds of miles away from adequate care for my conditions.
I had to hide in a corner while hooked up to iv fluids bc my grandfather who disowned me got a shot in the same room. The nurses all knew my situation & were protecting me by keeping him from seeing me while he got his shot, they are kind to me & I am thankful. This is my #queer #disabled reality.
Not as flattering lol
Had tea with my son and we dressed up even though we did it at home and made it ourselves. We had fun. Here is my #ootd #goth #witchy
I can't drink water to fix my problems but if you can hydrate yourself adequately the way nature intended trust me you don't wanna suffer w severe electrolyte issues. I've been hospitalized more than once. You can have heart problems or seizures etc bc of electrolytes. Take that shiz serious y'all!
I can stand long enough to cook and shop. And other tasks I took for granted before I became so chronically dehydrated that I need 4 bags of fluids plus medicine to help me retain sodium.

If you have ever heard the expression "hydrate or diedrate" take that dumbass meme seriously lol
My electrolytes have been bad for a long time but the past few years I've been horribly dehydrated & it has wrecked havoc on my health. Standing in the kitchen to cook meals w/out passing out is a BIG WIN!

It can be hard having health woes all the time so all wins are worth celebrating!
Made this yesterday. Didn't have to sit down while cooking for the 1st time in ages. You all would not believe how impactful the right treatment can be when you're sick. My adrenals have been low and now that I'm on medicine my life/energy/appetite/brain etc have dramatically improved.
I love that one of my top genres on spotify is my online nickname and that was an accidental coincidence. Guess I just have a pixie personality.
We had to put my cat down a few days ago. She was 16 yrs old & lived a very regal and posh spoiled princess life. She was well cared for & loved even to her end when she got sick. I cared for her day & night to try & see if she'd get better. 🥲

I would have done anything for this beautiful angel💔
