Unbound 206 - Panel #1: Tab stands in the middle of a bunch of book shelves. He is thinking. "Hmm..." Panel #2: Tab, "Leaf, you had a section on plants and animals. Where did that go?" Made the decision to pull Corbie from GlobalComix. I've been vocal about my disdain for generative AI for some time now and the platform is heading in a direction that I don't want to be associated with.

The making of CMC issue 2's wraparound cover! For this one, I ended up drawing the final art directly on top of the mock-up. Carlton was added late in the day as the empty space was bugging the heck out of me :p

The initial mock-up for the cover art of "Corinne Morgan, Corbie" remastered #2. Corbie sits within a large ring on the front, with the supporting cast (The I.C., Morrigan, Sadie, and the cloaked Neamhain & Macha) appear in smaller rings on the back. A banner running across the top reads "Hollywood's fledgling superheroine... in the ring for the first time!" Final version of Corbie issue 2's cover. The revised art is now in full colour. A surprised Carlton, Corinne's dad, has been added to the supporting cast on the back cover, and declares "I'm not even IN this issue!"

The proto Corbie armour ("Core-A") combines a bunch of design elements I just think are neat: red / white / blue colour schemes, long white boots, and vertical red / blue racing stripes (specific influences were Herbie and the late 60s / early 70s international Pepsi can)

A vintage Japanese Pepsi-Cola commercial from the late sixties or early seventies, showing a woman in sunglasses holding a slim Pepsi can. The design - which I believe was never used in the USA, only in international markets - is predominantly white with the logo hovering in the upper third, above a pair of red and royal blue vertical stripes.

Don't think I've ever posted the colour version of this before - Corbie in the prototype version of her armour, from the pages of CMC issue 2! Corinne would soon replace this with the familiar blue-black suit as it had an unfortunate tendency to overheat in a pretty serious way 🔥🔥🔥 👀

Art from the "Feathered Fact File" pages of the comic book "Corinne Morgan, Corbie" issue 2. Corinne wears the prototype version of the armour she wears in her alter-ego as the winged superhero Corbie, with simpler white elements instead of the detailed blue-black look of the final version, and a rounded helmet with antennae instead of spikes. The helmet and chest armour both sport red and blue stripes running down the middle.
