Hello. I'm an adult human. Left to my own devices, I would be a borderline cat hoarder. Was not homeschooled by a pigeon. Offers of Pumpkin Spice Latte will be met with shotgun fire.

(Disclosure: I’m neurodivergent and so are my kids. I’m raising them with explicit “not an excuse to be an asshole” guidance.)
There’s always been a trend of people self diagnosing with ASD to provide justification for being a complete asshole, as long as there has been visibility to the autism spectrum.

Those people were wrong and assholes back then, as they are nowadays. QED.
… “I didn’t know” needs to die as a legitimate excuse for… anything. Ignorance should not be a “get out of consequences” card.

If you “don’t know” you’re living with a neo-nazi, it should be grounds for a third party (aka, not the neo-nazi) to get legal guardianship on you.
SNAP recipients and people needing subsidies for healthcare? Have a lot of population overlap. Their goal is to get rid of poor people who cannot work 24/7 for shit wages. They don’t care how it’s accomplished.
I know that as democrats, we’re wary of electing more white guys, but we should really make an exception for Walz. He seems the kind of genuine tell it like it is person we should try to return to in national politics.
That’s generous. Some of them go through the day doing the exact opposite.

Can I throw in some Matthew 25:41-46?
Not to excuse the practice, but the writers get paid by the word, and pennies at that. They have to bury the lede because that’s what they’re paid to do.
They think it “humanizes” news. Those articles are basically written like a script for a news segment on cable news. It achieves the opposite effect (annoyance) because if I had wanted to know how John Smith specifically copes with higher grocery pricing, I’d just watch the news on cable. 🤦🏻‍♀️
This is why I legit only read news through my local newspaper’s app that I pay a paper subscription to be able to log into. I used to also use the AP app, but the writing there too has gone to garbage.
Very true. Polar night madness is a thing, and gremlins would fit right in.
Scalzi, that’s how he loves on you. Or at least that’s what I told myself with biting kittens (we’ve had a few).

Have the elder cat statespeople not taught him the songs of his people yet? I find that afterward, they bite a lot less.

You’ll still awake at 3 AM though.
There is no chaotic good type in the cat world. Chaotic neutral is the best you can hope for. 🤣
Awww, he got to big kitten. ❤️❤️❤️

As much as most people swear the hardest art of kittenhood is when they’re tiny and mischievous, it really is the transition from kitten to adult. Especially when they go through a longer kittenhood. Like this doofus, who’s almost 3 and still confused about his size:
I don’t begrudge any support to cash strapped federal workers. I just hope this generosity will also translate into more charitable donations overall. It’s not just government workers who are feeling the pain right now.
Food banks are popping up at airports to feed unpaid workers
In Week 4 of the government shutdown, federal employees are facing financial hardships.

You misspelled “royalty”. Treated like royalty.

It’s still Sunday somewhere edition.
Based on having a dad who’s in late stages dementia, it’s just not worth it to argue with anyone in any stage of dementia.
That’s why I added “that we know of”. I don’t trust any of these people or their record keeping.
True. I’ve not spent a dime on Amazon for a year. Cutting back on other retailers (Target has felt it). Ubering food? Never did it anyway.

Wonder if some cutting back are largely people who relied on food delivery persons to wait in line for them. Which duh. It’ll easily cost you double.
Weather? They don’t want to be bystanders during a teargassing? Can’t afford it? Just spitballing.

When your city can turn into an active war zone on a dime, it’s not just undocumented residents who decide to stay home. Everyone else finds more reasons to stay home.
5.

Never been to Honolulu, and I have bern to Hawaii 5 times. It’s easily the least interesting part of the Hawaiian islands
