Uma Musume as a series wouldnt be possible without people who really loved the horses they worked with, and without the fans who loved to watch them race, and i think that’s beautiful, honestly.

One of the coolest things i’ve found about racing is that the performance on the track can be exciting in itself, but there’s always more of a story to be found; if Smarty hadnt been so fast, hadnt almost won the crown, these details might not have even be recorded. It makes research fun & sad.
