Tbf I do think some of them see a bit of biodiverse nature space that people enjoy and that gives massive wellbeing benefits, and think "you know what would be great here? A bunch of expensive houses for buy to let landlords to own", and they're even worse

Labour wants to perpetuate and strengthen the problems with the UK housing market and homeowner culture because they see it as a shortcut to wealth and because they're in the pockets of developers, and they will destroy the environment to do so because they hate environmentalism. It's that simple.

The show's treatment of Barney (and alcoholism in general) has always rubbed me up the wrong way in the show tbh, the writing staff seems to have a particular disdain for sobriety for some reason from season 9 onwards? Maybe some lived experience and bitterness going on there, I dunno

Watching Simpsons and noticed that Barney gets phased out, especially after he stops drinking.

I'm sure it's just because the Simpsons writers didn't know what to do with him without the crutch of "alcoholism lol", but headcanon is that he wasn't safe to be around Homer while sober so avoided him.
