The various things Labour have planned around planning are really tailor made to ratfuck people tbh, making it easier for developers to just swoop in, not bother with nature protections, AND make it harder for the public to know about and protest against

Tbf I do think some of them see a bit of biodiverse nature space that people enjoy and that gives massive wellbeing benefits, and think "you know what would be great here? A bunch of expensive houses for buy to let landlords to own", and they're even worse

People haven't reckoned with how much the Labour Right fucking hates environmentalists and the concept of environmentalism. They are ideologically against it and see people who care about nature as weak.
slurmsmackenzie.bsky.social
Labour wants to perpetuate and strengthen the problems with the UK housing market and homeowner culture because they see it as a shortcut to wealth and because they're in the pockets of developers, and they will destroy the environment to do so because they hate environmentalism. It's that simple.

Labour cucks love to say "it's about building homes" or "it's about growth" and a) no it's not, because fuck all is affordable due to the nature of the UK housing market that Labour only wants to emboldened and b) growth for who, fuckers? Growth for developers and their shareholders, that's who

This right here is obviously disastrous, but Labour's awful anti-environment planning proposals will have a far worse effect than impacting on "resort" nature like national parks.

Say goodbye to that little field or park near you, that place you walk the dog or go to chill out.
Plans to weaken protections for national parks will have ‘disastrous consequences’ say green groups

Yeah, without going into personal details I have knowledge of similar, I think it would make sense from his perspective especially given how increasingly belligerent Homer gets

The show's treatment of Barney (and alcoholism in general) has always rubbed me up the wrong way in the show tbh, the writing staff seems to have a particular disdain for sobriety for some reason from season 9 onwards? Maybe some lived experience and bitterness going on there, I dunno

Watching Simpsons and noticed that Barney gets phased out, especially after he stops drinking.

I'm sure it's just because the Simpsons writers didn't know what to do with him without the crutch of "alcoholism lol", but headcanon is that he wasn't safe to be around Homer while sober so avoided him.
