SotH Johnson's idea of Rep-elect Grijalva "serving her constituents" is for her to step aside and allow the GOP to do whatever they want.
Nice Project 2025 symbolism, demolishing the government starting with the seat of the executive branch.
Most undergrads get a lot of exposure to Scatology, so they are probably adequately grounded there.
And they put the little picture box on the same page -- front -- as the "Same Old Playbook" column.
Semantically sound, if you want to equate No Kings with a failing advertising approach.
My take is that it is more a tell on the culture than on the species.
I still have faith in the human animal, but I am less sanguine about the religions of Moses and Abraham.
I feel like the fact we enter an age of infinite access to data & information being accompanied by multiple pro-ignorance movements is sort of telling on the species a bit.
I'm sure that MAGA will tell you that the brown liquid is manna from heaven.
"Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen."
---Albert Einstein
And we were all trained to different prejudices. So it is very hard "for everyone else to see common sense and think exactly like I do and agree with me on everything."
I'm sure that they can accomplish it with More Tax Cuts for the Rich.
That's been the solution to every other problem lately.
The only question I have on this is, "Why would I trust the politically-influenced Colombian media any more than I can trust the politically-influenced US media?"
When you consider that the body of data that ChatGPT was trained on contains reams of political speeches it should not be surprising that ChatGPT often comes off sounding like it's spouting political pablum.
Or that it habitually makes things up, to present as facts.
Fits right in with the American Royal Family, doesn't he?
I would differ slightly.
Guaranteed access to healthcare, which I presume is what was meant
The right to live free from violence, not just gun violence
Plus the rights listed in the first ten Amendments to the Constitution
-A living wage
-Guaranteed healthcare
-The right to join a union
-The right to vote
-The right to choose when, how, and with whom you start a family
-The right for you and your family to live free from gun violence

These are the foundations of real freedom.
When the Tea Party started it was not astroturf. That didn't happen until they had some visibility and looked to have a chance at success. Then the astroturf took over.
I have close friends who were early adopters, so I had to pay attention to the timelines.
My experience is that it is first and foremost a vocal medium -- so much depends on tone of voice and timing. Neither of those is very controllable in text.
I've felt that, textually, irony is more appropriate than sarcasm.
On Usenet the ;-) emoticon worked to flag sarcasm. There must be an emoji.
Sarcasm in a purely textual medium - long difficult to recognize - is how effectively dead because there isn’t a single idiotic or counter-factual thing you can say sarcastically that half the country wouldn’t say sincerely.
Well, what they are bringing is good news for them.
Just like those other Evangelists who are messing up our lives.
In today's edition of armchair etymology, the word 'evangelist' comes from the Greek word euangelistes, meaning "bringer of good news". It combines εὖ ("good/well") and ἄγγελος ("angel/messenger").

Insofar that we have this culture of 'tech evangelists' pumping things up before they are ready...
Mainstream media have let it go. What a surprise!
Reports of one arrest in AL: a woman dressed in an inflatable penis costume was arrested for lewd behavior.
Three officers took her to the ground and made sure she couldn't resist.
Yeah. I used to do that. I actually had a crow-quill pen that let me write in about 4-point.
Much more reliable than an exam-stressed memory.
And yes, they were explicitly permitted.
The good news here is that perusing, scanning, analyzing propaganda is not necessarily consuming it.
Some of us do that for purposes of debunking.
There can be, however, an element of "Know thy enemy." Or at least be aware of what your enemy is claiming.
Mostly it's stop burning fossil hydrocarbons, but yeah.
The foundation of Trumpism was laid by Ronald Reagan and his "Government is the problem" campaign.
The framework was erected when Newt Gingrich decided that the GOP caucus should operate like the British Parliament and whoever led the GOP Senate followed suit.
Every time this "leader" opens his mouth is signals weakness and instability. And not just to our allies.
'SOkay, most of the cabinet members are pretty blank, too.
"You shouldn't be allowed to work in politics unless you've experienced loss and poverty"
But we have to be careful how we define loss and poverty, since many of the wealthy in politics genuinely believe that they have experienced loss and (mild, or relative) poverty.
Just not by our standards.
