The more people on Substack know this, the better.
There’s been a few articles this year about how they’re changing some of their backend logistics (at least in the US) and it’s going to make it nearly impossible for creators to leave with their subscribers. Can’t express how important it is for folks to go ahead and GO if they plan to.

The thing about credit reports and scores is that they are used for so much more than getting more credit. Landlords, employers, and other people in positions of power also weaponize you, so medical debt here can be catastrophe for your whole life.
Trump’s New Rules Will Wreck People’s Credit
New guidance will bar states from removing medical debt from people’s credit reports.

Good thing the technology is utterly infallible.
New incredible detail here: ICE says a match in its facial recognition app Mobile Fortify is a "definitive" determination of a person's status, and that this overrides birth certificates. This is an app ICE is using in the field to scan people

My family decorated with string lights in the 90s! I had M&M string lights my mom would hang over my bed every Christmas.
If that doesn't work half a mosquito dunk soaking in your watering can seems to do the trick (you water with the mosquito dunk tea)

β€œoh so you think the east wing being demolished is worse than-β€œ it’s a synecdoche, man. a visual metaphor. there’s a reason the aliens in Independence Day don’t aim a huge laser at SNAP benefits
Honestly I'll have to ask. I know my friend lives with family who eat gluten, but she has her own toaster and cutting boards and probably other kitchen things. I might need to just buy some dedicated gluten free stuff for anything that's hard to fully decontaminate.
Vegan marshmallows. Strawberries. Literally just a bag of sugar. Tubs of maple syrup.
It turns out lettuce is moderately high in nickel πŸ˜‚

Yeah, I'm trying to think of a sort of choose your own adventure situation. I'll have to completely deep clean the kitchen to make it celiac safe in any case, and we'd need a lot of different fillings to check all the boxes. Dessert? Uh.
I think so! I personally can't eat a lot of raw anything (I'm the low FODMAP person), but a single serving of plain iceberg lettuce with a side of rice is safe 🀣
Also two people who I have invited have strong food aversions to such things as zucchini and pasta.

Maybe it should be a dinner party where everyone just brings their own dinner πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
Me: I want to have a tiny gathering of my closest friends and family for my birthday, we can have dinner and relax.
The menu: needs to accommodate: low FODMAP, celiac, vegetarian, no nightshades, low nickel, allergies to dairy (all animals), oats, legumes, sweet potato, olive oil/olives, pineapple.
Haha, I turn 35 this month and my classmates never believe me
Adding to my reading pile for a school break! If it's not available as an audiobook right now I know I won't get to it.
