I get and enjoy that mai feels a need to push renako’s comfort zone a bit because that helps renako grow as a person. But she goes so overboard and i hope the story can manage to thread the needle that Mai isn’t a bad person, she just doesn’t know what’s she’s doing and is pushing too hard too fast

Mai was doing something extremely fucked up even if renako is stubborn and not giving into her feelings for mai. I really really hope the book sits with this moment more than the anime and actually makes Mai atone for it and grow and learn to be less pushy with renako

I have reached the part of watanare where mai almost rapes renako. It is distressing how renako is like “i didn’t say no the right way” and then resolves to apologize for slapping mai. I think her apologizing is the one misfire in this story.

Hell yeah good episode despite the seed problem rearing its head. I like the political players are so set in their ways they don’t have info on the other two factions that seem to be the tail wagging the dog at this point. Its very good.

We’re getting a great moment where our new main? character is challenging a beloved older character and all i can talk about is this show’s flaws because they detract from the experience so much. Its just frustrating because this show is like great 95% of the time and then it’ll just drop in quality

This is by far my biggest problem with seed and no one else talks about it. Like Tolle dying and you showing his head come off works the first time, same with nicol dying. But showing it 3 times an episode just makes it lose all its weight

Okay, i did not need to see the mangled corpses to get all that though. God this show has such a problem with violent imagery just shown willy nilly. It feels like its trying to be hardcore but just comes off as childish and edgy for edgy’s sake. Like the scene worked great the first time

Shinn is so angy i love it. Also that his anger isn’t misplaced. He believed in what orb was doing and because orb got involved in the war a bunch of people died, including his family. Yeah it was the right choice but it still led to a lot of suffering

Shout out to the heroic legend of arslan for actually making slavery bad. I do not know how I feel about it being that way to make the white protagonist look better. Even though arslan is parsian, he still looks so white compared to the rest of the parsian cast
