It might be “just furry”, just some silly little hobby but it’s so much more than that. It’s freedom of expression of ourselves, queer solidarity and many people’s only support network. It’s art, music, stories and lifelong friendships. We have our issues sure, but I think we’re worth fighting for.

#WHRMcon Animatronics often have each servo individually puppeted, causing a rubbery look of *too much* motion. This is Spectral Motion’s medium. Some movements derive from others inputs. Along w/ strategic sculpting & skin attachment, it creates physically plausible secondary & tertiary movement.

#WHRMcon The crime here isn’t just that his scene was cut, but his mere FOUR SECONDS of would-be screen time. In both design and technical artistry this was a fully-realized character with nuance, texture and backstory…you could almost SMELL him.

#WHRMcon Meet the WERE-HYENA. .:🐺:. This practical creature was part of the original ending for Blade: Trinity (2004), but his scene was cut when it didn’t test well with audiences*. It appears as an extra on DVD and Blu-Ray (extras are standard-def ☹️).

* This is why Steve Jobs hated focus groups.
