Always remember that others dont view your art with the familiarity you have with it. There is a weird effect that make you see your art as more boring or ordinary because you are so used to your linework, how you usually draw things, etc. But for others these are exterior to them and feel inspired.

Promptober Day 4: Dark Woods

Today, I'm offering you this mini adventure plug-in. Insert it in any adventure module and make your players go crazy in these dark woods. The cost of getting out of these woods is high...

You step beneath the branches, and daylight ends. As you walk, it seems like the forest floor breathes. You're convinced that the trees move when you're not looking. You just entered the Dark Woods...

THE DARK WOODS (Mini-Adventure Seed)

This adventure plug-in can be incorporated in any adventure module. Once the players enters the Dark Woods, the forest begins to rearrange itself.

Every hour of in-game time, roll 1d10:

1–3: The path loops back to where you started.
4–6: You go deeper, trees grow closer, and the air thicker.
7–9: You find a strange remnant or clue.
10: Roll on the encounter table below.

d10 Encounters in the Dark Woods

1. A stag with too many eyes, standing perfectly still, waiting for you to blink.
2. A lone lantern swaying from a branch, lit, warm, and impossibly high.
3. A tree carved with hundreds of names, one of which belongs to you.
4. Mushrooms arranged in a perfect circle, pulsing faintly like a heartbeat.
5. The corpse of a hunter, clutching a weapon that hums when held.
6. Whispers overhead. The branches repeat what you said a minute ago.
7. A clearing full of scarecrows facing outward, guarding something unseen.
8. The scent of honey and rot; a hollow log filled with black liquid that moves.
9. A cabin light in the distance that vanishes when approached.
10. The sound of footsteps behind you, soft, bare, and getting closer.

GM Hook
The forest trades memory for direction. At some point, when players are completely lost, they will hear the forest whisper that may sacrifice one of their memories to find the right path. The forest takes it completely. The player forgets forever.

I'm offering you a mini-game called "A Killer in the Dark". In this game, you and your friends are caught in a haunted house. Somewhere in the dark, a killer searches for you with a candle...

Promptober 2025 Day 1 prompt: Free space (do whatever) - The prompt shows the rules for a mini-game called "A Killer in the Dark".

"You are trapped in a haunted house. Somewhere in the dark, a killer searches for you. You hear only the creak of floorboards… and the faint glow of their candle."SETUP: Place 1 lit candle (or LED) in the centre of the table and a token, 6 inches from the edge of the table for each player. You will also need a d10.

PLAY: Playing clockwise, each player rolls d10. Each time a player rolls 4 or less, the candle is moved one inch (or more, you decide) closer to them.

ENDGAME: When the candle touches the token of a player, the darkness claims them: that player describes their final scene.

Play continues until one player remains. That player survived the night and was able to escape...
