Btw if an actual German tries roasting you for America's puritan brainworms, just come back with Germany being 10x more puritan about video game violence. Characters used to be replaced by robots and cyborgs in almost every game. Half Life, C&C Zero Hour, UT, you name it. They still do it.

There's even been an absolutely bizarre spike in Christian influencers on social media in the last couple years which baffles me. My entire time here I've met like 1 actually religious Christian family irl.

I cannot emphasize enough how bad shit is in this country. It's also worth mentioning that White Christian Nationalist Puritanism is not just the backbone of which this country is built upon, but it never left.

Goddamn, so far I've only heard about 5 movies out of 55. Thank god that movies aren't my main thing or I'd be punching the air right now. Really interesting recs and list composition in terms of genre, vibes and places that couldn't be easily replicated by a content mill and that's worth something.
