I need liberals to stop pretending that Trump is an aberration and isn't part of a continuity of US empire that stretches back centuries. 99% of this is consistent with what's been happening in this country for decades. If you didn't notice, it's because you didn't want to see it.

ICE didn’t just start killing people. The number of deaths from last year, 32, matched the previous record from 2004. The only difference now is that this is happening in white communities to US citizens. That’s why the brunch liberals are freaking out.

Governments have abdicated their responsibility to their people and allowed countless violations of the social contract in order to abdicate power to oligarchs and giant corporations. Even if the people rebel and are not put down outright, power will only concede the bare minimum to pacify you.
