Depuis début octobre, le site web du yomiuri shimbun publie une série d'articles dans lesquels Yoshiyuki Tomino raconte des histoires de jeunesse et ses débuts dans l'animation. Les articles sont payants mais les previews ont déjà pas mal de ses photos d'époque.

En zoomant sur le Zaku de cette image on peut distinguer la date du 29 décembre 1980, très probablement la date à laquelle Kunio Okawara a dessiné cette illustration. Ce genre de dates "cachées" apparaissent régulièrement dans ses dessins aux alentours de 1981.
