I commissioned a batch of art from @clarissaarts.bsky.social I wanted some artwork to produce a cover for my "Sonic the Hedgehog: Cosmic Eternity" fan fiction (which I hope to start writing this summer). I'm really happy with how these turned out. #reginaldwriting
2D Artwork of Sonic the Hedgehog in an action pose in the "Sonic Adventure" art style, draw by Clarissa. 2D artwork of Amy Rose by Clarissa. She's in the Sonic Adventure art style, but it's modern Amy wearing her classic outfit. 2D artwork of Tails flying in the Sonic Adventure style by Clarissa. 2D artwork of Reginald Cosmic's OC "Master Marmalade" by Clarissa. He is a retired martial arts master, the father of Vanilla (a canon character), and the grandfather of Cream the Rabbit (another canon character). He's an anthropomorphic rabbit with long ears, a white beard & mustache with matching eyebrows, a red martial arts gi, and a pendant containing a photo of his family members. He appears to be in deep thought about something.

I like Plank, Majin Patrick, and Mr. (Ant) Tenna, but I need more of that Smitty WorberJaggerManJenson (aka No. 1) cosplay!

OC question of the day for y'all;

Which of your OCs would share a leitmotif in their themes?

Not to cancel anyone for shit from 8 years ago, but YouTube creators from 8 years ago REALLY hyped up Mighty No. 9 as a huge disaster of a game, but from what I understand, it's just kind of boring to play with ugly graphics and a bland story as opposed to it being interestingly bad.

I have a private Discord server with a total of five people (including myself), but whenever I join a Discord server with more than 10 people, I quickly lose track of who's who and what's being discussed, and eventually I feel uneasy looking at the server.

when i was a kid i didn't understand how this worked and i thought every CD that was manufactured had to have a monster put onto it. like they'd go up to ringo starr or whatever and ask him what monster he wants and he'd say "ouhh this DEfinitely has a "Battle Rocks" quality to it! peace and love.!"

I didn't want to make this a thread, but I realized it was kind of dumb to include a screen shot instead of just linking to the video. Oops. I'm sorry.

That reminds me: Someone recommended me a resource of vetted 3D models to help draw fan art at different angles. I should look into that.

I like the concept of gesture drawing (attached screen shot). I really should practice that instead of just having characters stand around.

As long as we're talking about art tips: I've never been able to do characters by starting with geometric shapes because without a computer/tablet, it's too hard for me draw that way. It's helpful to visualize the shapes for something like The Simpsons, but I'm not at that level yet.

Hot take: If your YouTube channel is 90% reading off other people's posts on Tumblr, Twitter, Reddit, wherever, you should not be running a Patreon. I understand wanting to run a tip jar if you're not able to get ad rev, but you shouldn't be taking money for something that's not transformative.

That's more or less what I was asking. It looks good whatever tools you used.
