I made the ripples independent of the rain particles.
In my first approach, i made them spawn on rain collision with the surface. However, it resulted in the particle system being too heavy.
Separating them was a matter of optimization.

Some snowfall in #UE5.
This was a cool experiment from a couple of months ago.

The BP contains some fog at a distance, some mist in the foreground, and of course, the snow particles them selves.

The Rain shader is now a PB. you can now drag and drop it in a scene.
There is also another PB used for the rain on the edges of a roof.
Distance fog and spalsh fog is also part of the same BP!

It was quite nice working on this one.
I learned a lot.

With the recent surge of artists on this platform it would be great to see this implemented as a marketplace. Artists all over the platform could put their work up and the platform could maintain it and take a cut. This way everyone gets options and artists get a wider reach with less overhead.
