ICE is all over the city and burbs today, including Waukegan. Multiple reports on social media from people who have found empty work vans and are trying to locate family of their owners. This is a near daily occurrence now.

Far-right billionaire Peter Theil says he doesn't believe in democtacy. Why care?
He just spent hundreds of millions to install... Vance as Vice President.
He & Vance have publicly claimed "democracy should be ripped out like a tumor."
They credit blogger Curtis Yarvin as their inspiration.
He says, and I quote: "A government is just a corporation.
Corporations are run by CEOs, who are simply dictators.
Americans need to delete the government, he devised an acronym for his plan: "R.A.G.E." which stands for "Retire All Government Employees."
Trump declared he'd give them payouts if they quit. MAGA wants you to think dictatorships are more etticient, but Russia's economy is collapsing.
China is in a severe banking crisis, and oh yeah, and North Korea is starving.
Don't be fooled Instead of bullets, fascists now use bribes.

Once again: this is also happening in DC. Still.

It feels like we’ve been forgotten, maybe because there aren’t huge confrontations to run photos of. But our neighbors are still being taken every day. Routine traffic stops are now done by 12+ feds alongside local police.

Federal Secret Police and plainclothes ICE agents kidnap multiple people from a neighborhood in Chicago. They then deploy teargas and brutally beat neighbors who come out to express their concern.

While Trump blusters about "law & order," his regime has dropped or halted nearly 165 investigations into corporate wrongdoing. And Trump himself has pardoned dozens of his supporters, including Jan 6 rioters and others convicted of crimes like money laundering and bribery.

Yes, you should be surprised and horrified by secret federal police running around our city kidnapping immigrants, crashing cars, launching chemical weapons and shooting and killing people. This is a thing you should be *perpetually* shocked by. We lose when we become numb to it.

Thinking about how much of their violence has been normalized already, how scenes that caused shockwaves 6 weeks ago are now part of the rhythm of daily life. Watched a TikTok from a daughter who has to do her parents' laundry & get their groceries because they're in hiding. This is just it now
