I can't speak for Saint Peter, but I think cancelling ICE and all their depraved cruelty may help Trump before he comes face to face with him at the pearly gates.

Hearing JD Vance speak makes my skin crawl.

Cancelling ICE and all their cruelty would put him in better standing, if you ask me.

Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”

This quote from above article. Totally shading Trump.
- More recently, he insisted that journalism was “not only an act of justice, but a duty of all those who long for a solid and participatory democracy.” Leo affirmed the freedom of the press was an “inalienable common good.” 9/n

Last week I read a few articles about Pope Leo & issues he has been addressing. Not a Catholic, I am really delighted with what he has been saying. Issues included are in the attached screenshot. Article links in a series of replies below. Also links about Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling. 1/n

Not for me to speak for Saint Peter but Trump ending ICE but might help him.

It seems to me, and I'm not a Catholic, but Pope Leo, some US Catholic bishops, and some parish priests are really stepping up. Raho's words here are well worth reading.

I don't usually indulge in this type of thinking but seeing how young they look makes me feel a little sad at the passing of time -- maybe it'd be better to say wistful.
