We’re thrilled to be part of Multitudes at Southbank Centre - a multi-arts festival, powered by orchestral music.

On Thu 23 Apr we're performing Messiaen's Turangalîla with Vasily Petrenko, pianist Steven Osborne and ondes Martenot player Cécile Lartigau, alongside an original film by 1927 Studios.

Last night we kicked off our 2025–26 London season with the rocking and rolling of Symphonic Queen at the Royal Albert Hall, presented by Edith Bowman, conducted by Matthew Freeman, and featuring the Symphonic Voices. We can only hope you had as much fun as we did!

We've just made some exciting announcements ahead of our new season... 🎉

@johnrutter.bsky.social has been appointed our Artist Laureate, Emilia Hoving has been named our Associate Conductor, and @kevinjohnedusei.bsky.social will be our Conductor-in-Residence at Cadogan Hall for the 2025–26 Season.

This weekend we performed at the Enescu Festival in Bucharest with Vasily Petrenko, Alexandre Kantorow for Liszt's Piano Concerto No.2, and Bruce Liu for Rachmaninov's Paganini Variations, as well as Enescu's Symphony No.1 & Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade.

This weekend we travelled to Ulrichshusen and Redefin for the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with cellist Daniel Müller-Schott and Anne-Sophie Mutter, the final concerts of our tour to Europe in August with Vasily Petrenko. Thank you to everyone who supported us!

Today we're in Neumünster for the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival with Anne-Sophie Mutter and Vasily Petrenko, playing John Williams' Violin Concerto No.2 and Shostakovich's The Gadfly 🎺 We've also been furnished with cakes and sandwiches made by the Festival volunteers! #rpoontour

Last week our Composer-in-Association Joe Hisaishi made his debut at the BBC Proms, conducting Steve Reich's The Desert Music, music from The Boy and the Heron, and The End of the World. We were joined by counter-tenor John Holiday, the BBC Singers, Philharmonia Chorus & the National Youth Voices.
