hmm some of these proposals are unworkable - having spent many years working emergency it isn't always possible to give an immediate accurate cost estimate of final treatment (and there is no refund if it dies)

Its across the board , friends who work in other parts of the US federal government are getting them too housing , health, education … anything that’s not military basically , this is a government that has abandoned its people

That’s interesting- on average makes of many species produce a less robust vaccine response than females but that obesity effect is pretty wild and of course menopause in humans is a huge confounder…

explains why growing stem cells is such a fiddly business...

This one will eventually cross the Med into Europe - at which point there will be a giant panic and we might finally get our act together for what is a readily vaccine preventable disaster

but then again their editors have usually had a basic quality check beforehand.....

As a reviewer who sometimes has to reject papers because they are wrong or fraudulent I'm not sure I want to be exposed to a public doxing for pointing it out. However I have done it for some pre-print server type places (access micro) and it was a generally civilised experience all round

Deeply weird , looks like a cross between a gonk and a Guinea pig

God it’s horrible to watch the country collapsing like this

Yeah I have around 20 ( 5 years of students) so is is group but it’s timetabled, compulsory and we do have a very good welfare and senior tutor team. So there is always a contact route and failing students are always checked on

There has to be a commercial market for these native fruits (I would love to try them even if just for the novelty value)

No - I also can't find any of my xxxx files or transfer them in or out of it to somewhere I can use them (like my actual computer). Really, really hate it - slow, clunky, won't integrate with most of the other software I need (like reference managers, image or sequence processing....)

Really, really should have been flagged on multiple levels and at the very least he should have been given the information on how to appeal (which would have been successful by the looks of it)

Can you actually get them privately now? last time I looked about 2 years ago you couldn't even pay for one

Here’s a disease we can and should eliminate ( it wouldn’t even cost a lot)

❗ Wash the wound with soap & water immediately.
❗ Seek medical advice without delay. A doctor will assess your risk & if needed, start post-exposure vaccination.

The important thing with this one is that the btv vaccines are strain specific, if you are seeing clinical signs in a btv3 vaccinated animal it might be this one. There are btv 8 vaccines in production but not ( currently) available in the uk … sonething to prepare for next season

the guys at the vet hospital at liverpool swabbed everything in the hospital - the dirtiest spot (in terms of bacterial load and AMR) was the staff room.... (pretty much the only bit of the place that wasn't regularly scrubbed in disinfectant)

It’s hard to imagine anyone actually believing it but the human mind is strange

Vet colleagues out there.. if you have some itchy camelids or equids these guys want them (or at least their lice). Note they are in the USA though so shipping could be an issue...

Hi! We need lice for our diversity and adaptation project. Specifically, we need lice from zebras, camelids (camels, llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, guanacos) & aardvarks. If you or someone you know might have lice, I'm happy to discuss our inclusive collaboration plans!
