THE EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN doesn't have the best reputation among the Hammer Frankie films, but I love it anyway. The Creature is a true wretch here, a tragic pawn ping-ponged between the egos of two vwry bad men. He'd rather take himself out than keep on being what he is.

I hardly flat out dislike a single Universal Monster film for the cycle. And I think a lot of the later ones are genuinely undervalued - particularly House of Dracula. Such a unique film teeming with good ideas, better than average characters, and an underrated Dracula.

TRICK OR TREAT is such a wild movie for random trivia. It has Glen Morgan (famed X-Files scribe) in a significant supporting role. His only acting cred. And it's directed by Charles Martin Smith...Terry The Toad from AMERICAN GRAFFITI.

Plus the Ozzy and Gene Simmons cameos.

Man, HOUSE OF DRACULA is one of the more unsung films in the cycle imo. I hadn't seen it in years. It's one of the more unique in terms of it's story, themes, and characters - also a fantastic depiction of Dracula that doesn't get the attention it deserves.

I try to avoid engaging in this kind of posting like the plague. But do I need to point out the issue with this mentality? Do I really? The comments are...disappointing.
