There are many things wrong with the video (being AI, natch), but I did think it amusing that his laziness underlined the fact that he’s a maskhole, even when it comes to fighter jets.

Thiel is just making those same accusations against people and concepts he doesn’t like. He doesn’t name anyone outright, but suggests people like Greta Thunberg and the concept of a world government (a popular antisemitic dogwhistle), both of which are challenges to his political ideals. 4/

This nonsense has continued with religious leaders condemning anyone who they disagree with as the antichrist. Along the way, the tripe (I mistyped “trope” there, but I’m leaving it), has combined with readings that misunderstand the book of Revelation to make them out to be a single person. 3/

Originally, the word Antichrist did not refer to a person, but to anyone perceived to be against Christianity. Really enjoying this episode with Cory Doctorow. I’d known about the concept of enshittification before, but this gives a brilliant history, context and illustrative examples of it in the real world. Plus, it really makes you question a lot of what you use daily on your devices.

I certainly hope we won’t directly, but I feel that the way that major companies and infrastructure are developing a growing reliance on the performance of these systems is going to have a considerable effect upon many of us when people realise the money isn’t new, it’s just being passed around.
