Alien 5

Sigourney Weaver: "Walter Hill is a very good friend of mine, and he wrote 50 pages where Ripley would be now, and they are quite extraordinary. I don’t know if it’s going to happen, but I have had a meeting with Fox, Disney, or whoever it is now. I said I have never felt the..."

"...need. I was always like, ‘Let her rest, let her recover.’ But what Walter has written seems so true to me as very much about the society that would incarcerate someone who has tried to help mankind."

I don't know how many posts I've made about Sigourney and Alien 5, but here's another one.

The actress also spoke at New York Comic Con about what was really behind the crew clashes with James Cameron on the sequel.

Johnson refused to answer specific questions or to provide factual denials to allegations of rule-breaking, while insisting all the rules had been followed at all times. His responses led Acoba’s chair, Isabel Doverty, to find him in breach of the rules.

George was just trying to get to work.

ICE pepper-sprayed him, dragged him from his car, locked him in a detention center, and placed him on suicide watch. He even missed his young daughter’s birthday in the process.

This man is a veteran and American citizen. Don't look away.

"They put me on suicide watch and they put me in the cell, I'm naked, in like a hospital dress and just a concrete bed with like a mattress, like a thin mattress and, they leave the light on 24/7."

A bigger issue for all parties is the lack of voter turnout. Last year's turnout was 59%, lowest since 2001. At this rate we'll be below 1918 levels, which was just after World War I (for understandable reasons).

People are becoming more disengaged over time. FPTP continues to screw us over.

How ANYONE here can see these things and still vote for this grotesque man in 2029 is beyond me. I genuinely believe they won't. He's not even TRYING to make it look like he's interested in us. But how to show that? Not everyone's endlessly scrolling BlueSky or reading the Mirror.

If you rename the Department of Defense the Department of War, then bomb fishing boats in the Caribbean, and shoot an unarmed priest in the head with a pepper bullet, you should automatically be barred from receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for the rest of your life.

I thought I'd posted this but I didn't. Saw the film Heretic on Prime. Hugh Grant gives a terrific performance, not a bad horror movie at all.

Love these pictures. The interdimensional portal reminded me of this near where I live.

This - which I explored today - is the kind of thing I live for on walks in the deep countryside: a 200+-year-old abandoned walled garden, totally overgrown and teeming with wildlife and ghosts.

Finding lost magic places like this, untouched and undeveloped, always fills me with weird kind of hope.
The entrance to the walled garden I found today, with its broken door and big ivy hat. An interdimensional portal in the walled garden I found today A hole in the wall of the walled garden I found today, leading to 1785. Ruined potting sheds in the walled garden I found today.
