Before Germany’s last elections, hundreds of combustion-engine cars had been vandalised, combined with pro-Green flyers left on site. State investigators now assume a Russian influence operation:

Ermittler vermuten Russland hinter Bauschaum-Attacken auf Autos
Hunderte Autos wurden vor einem Jahr in mehreren Bundesländern mit Bauschaum beschädigt. Die Ermittler gehen derzeit davon aus, dass damit die Grünen vor der Wahl diskreditiert werden sollten.

the entire beltway media complex is rotten all the way through, I truly believe Nuzzi's just the worst at hiding it
The more Lizza writes the more he indicts himself in serious ethical lapses but there are a lot of editors and publishers who are complicit here, too.

The whole thing is just gross.

(And shout out to the serious journalists who do good work. You deserve better peers and a healthier industry.)

Just remembering how one of the most important and widely read and dropped-with-maximally-damaging-timing "Biden is old and senile" pieces was reported by Nuzzi. It makes you think!
well, I read it, and the salient, non-gross part is Lizza alleging, midsentence and without elaboration, that Nuzzi ran numerous “catch-and-kill operations” on RFK’s behalf, which would give her a role in both his appointment and the untold preventable deaths he has abetted in office. Cool.

Trump keeps propping up expensive, unreliable coal plants and your energy bills keep rising.

Cheap energy is clean energy. Trump’s fossil fuel obsession makes families pay more. www.lcv.org/blog/how-tru...
How Trump’s Coal Plant Obsession is Making Energy More Expensive
Coal plants are dirty, expensive, and unreliable. President Trump is determined to keep them open anyway. Here's how the rest of us are paying the price.

people keep saying that SpaceX is not like Elon's other companies but I increasingly question that
lol this image from last night shows SpaceX is popping open LOX tanks during routine pressure testing. The Starship program was being hyped as closing in on rapid commercial launch cadence 2-3 years ago

It's a censorship engine designed to promote ideas that Elon Musk likes and suppress ideas that Elon Musk does not like. I really don't get why this evident fact - that Musk openly admits! - is so hard for so many people to understand
An X user asks Elon Musk why they’re seeing tweets from left-wing lawmakers.

Musk: “Because we are failing very badly with the recommendations algorithm. Doing my best to address this.”

This is a blindingly obvious point that so many anti-immigrant types just refuse to accept - other countries can in fact make decisions about who they want to let in too.
And a lot of failed asylum seekers literally can’t be deported because the UK government has not agreed with the “home country” to take the person back or the home country just deports the person back to the UK and sends the bill to the UK government

I love my solar + EV setup. In addition to not being reliant on carbon fossil fuels, the self-reliance and backup is amazing, plus it just feels good knowing you're shrinking your footprint.

But when the power all over town is out...and your lights are on, and your car runs...nothing feels sweeter.

one thing ive thought for awhile is the messaging around clean energy has been atrocious

“what if you never had to pay for gas again” feels like it would resonate more than “we need to bring CO2 levels down”

the single best thing about doing solar + EV for me is not having to subsidize the Carbon Power all the time
