Hi, I'm Saxxon. I also have been known as SaxxonPike, and I have written music as Sanxion7 for a long time now.

This is a personal account. Expect furry content, a lot. NSFW musings. Political, tech and music production ramblings. Blatant digital debauchery.

I'll have a Sanxion7 account soon.

"Oh Philiiiiiip~! What do you think of my new jockstrap~?"
"...Put your clothes back on, Owen."

Some fanart of the visual novel Repeat because I really love their dynamic

An illustration of Owen the red panda in nothing but a jockstrap bending forward slightly to show his ass to Phillip the cat. The background behind Owen is bubbly and pink to show his flirtation while the background behind Phillip is dark and gloomy to show his annoyance.

AMD's CPU architecture generations went directly from K8 to K10 deliberately skipping K9, unforgivable

Zabutom's 4-track chiptune EP "Splendors of the Past" is absolutely sick. I especially like "Macho Machine", which is sequenced entirely on the Commodore 64. stilleben-records.bandcamp.com/album/zabuto...

Yeah, they got excellent voices for the two main characters, and many of the other voices are quite good.

It's another title I had and slept on for years. The character art style makes me reminisce about browsing through amateur furry artists on DeviantArt. Not a dig on the art direction, it's consistent and charming.

Completed Dust: An Elysian Tail last night. It's a fun game and I really like the crafting system. The jump height was a bit jarring at first. I kinda wish there was more. Finishing the final battle left me wondering where the rest of the game was. Fidget, your companion, wraps "lolrandom" in a bow.

The best part of how Portland is handling this is they’re not only protesting, but also angering the goose steppers by not taking them seriously.

Pretty genius. Because even ICE & the national guard don’t want to be displayed as that asshole fighting people in cute costumes.

Zone 66 was developed by a demoscene group (Renaissance) and they'd written their own memory management system that cannot coexist with any others, though that's about as much as I know.
saxxon.bsky.social
I will add that with games that do support EMM386+SBEMU, you can run these on really modern systems with no issues at all, so long as your audio chipset is supported by the driver. Support is being added for new ones all the time, it seems.

For running games in pure DOS mode, yes. Many games will operate fine in "v86" mode (think EMM386/QEMM) so you could run it with something like SBEMU for sound output on more modern chipsets. Games that pitch a fit when using a memory manager (like Zone 66) are pretty much out, though.

(I should say, available for *Windows 98* which is an important distinction)

I played some DOS games on a Core 2 and, barring sound support, it worked out okay. I've got an Asrock 775i65g motherboard for that purpose- Intel 865 drivers are available for Windows and AGP cards seem to work fine on it. But that is a very niche configuration.
