But let's be clear: the group chat includes a State Senator, a Trump Admin official, and multiple Republican staffers — and some of the worst comments came from folks associated with Mike Johnson, Elise Stefanik, and Mike Lawler.

It truly appears that the desire to say this sort of stuff without being socially ostracized and so on has been a main driver of one side of our politics from the "anti-PC" 1990s all the way through the "anti-woke" / "anti-DEI" present.

William Hendrix, KS Young Republicans’ vice chair, wrote “n--ga” and “n--guh,” variations of a racial slur, more than a dozen times. Bobby Walker, vice chair of the NY State Young Republicans referred to rape as “epic.” Peter Giunta, chair, wrote “everyone that votes no is going to the gas chamber.”

Remember when Stephen Miller claimed the Chicago apartment raid was on a building “filled with Tren de Aragua terrorists”?

Well, DHS has now dropped the number of alleged TdA members arrested in the building from 2 to 1.

Just one "verified" Tren de Aragua member and one U.S. citizen with an active warrant were among the 37, DHS said, without saying how it had verified that gang affiliation. Others taken that day, the agency said, were "illegal aliens."
